I advise against the 24-240, I owned it, it was not a “fun” lens. Too bulky. Consider the RF24-105, either or the 24-50. It’s more M-like. Trust me as a former M owner, fun factor is a thing. The 24-240 struggled indoors with AF, couldn’t do macro distances, swung around a ton, and had clinical rendering. It’s certainly sharp, reach, but fun? Nope. Consider the RF-S 18-150 instead.

This is a valid point. But this is highly subjective too.

As a current M owner and former user I still have a lot of fun with e.g. the R5 and 28-70, although I could probably carry several M bodies for the same net weight and volume. In contrast I actually would rate the EF-M 18-150 not that spectactular either.

But for sure, if size and weight "in hand" is the top criterion then don't go this route.

R5+28-70? Fun. R3+28-70? Fun. R5+24-240? Not fun. Every time I took that 24-240 out with the R, I wish I’d taken the M6II + 18-150, instead. Hands down.

Hope that helps.

Also, selling camera stuff right now is super slow, I made it a point to sell my M system off in December, and it took a bit. It doesn’t help or hurt to wait, IMO.
