IMO, you have to buy into a system as it is, not how you think or hope it might be one day.

While I agree, this is difficult with a system which needs still to evolve. When I started with RF there weren't that much lenses yet and Canon didn't publish a lens roadmap. But at the end Canon wants to be / become the market leader also in mirrorless and I think they only can reach this goal when they have enough lenses.

If only I had choice of lenses for my RF body. Sadness.

A nice picture but a lame argument stays a lame argument. At the begining I used RF and EF lenses and it was annoying. Fortunatley, most lenses I need are meanwhile available in RF, unfortunatley, lenses I want (and would buy) are not available in RF nor in EF, e.g. Tamron 35-150/2-2.8. I defenitley won't buy a new EF lens for my RF bodies.

I never really considered switching systems before. But with the lack of interesting 3rd party lens options and the change in CPS Europe Canon lost two points which are important for me. When it's time for a new body I will, habe a very close look on alternatives. Canon lost a good portion of my loyality lately. Of course if I'm the only one and the fan boys still buy enough gear, Canon doesn't need to care about me.
