Thanks! It's nice to see people who are excited about modifying cameras. Right now I'm finishing up an android app, but throughout March I'll hopefully be working on Fujihack.

RIght now I'm working on a OS-like system (called Frontier) that will help me develop menus, scripting, and app support. So far, I've only been running small 3kb tests on the camera with my custom firmware. Planning to start running 200kb payloads next.

Still hoping that uncovering the bootloader will make code execution easier. So far, the only way is custom firmware, which is dangerous. I was able to get a ~60mb RAM dump, but it only had the firmware payload, so it wasn't useful. Hardware dump might be necessary.

Fuji's RTOS definitely has some hidden developer features (AUTO_ACT script, EEPROM Setting menu, SYS HALT menu), but they are all activated by task events and semaphores, so almost impossible to reverse engineer.

Haven't look much into the recording code, so I'm not sure how it works. It does seem like the hardware is flexible (fast SD Card reader, but slow CPU). Raw video doesn't seem impossible.
