Re: Belt/waist pouch to fit the 10-24?

I found something which looks like it should do the job, at least until I can find something better.

A climbing chalk bag. In this case, a Montane Finger Jam. Cost £10.

It’s a good fit for the 10-24 with hood (not quite as snug as I’d like, but fine, and much better than the Lens Case Duo 20). No padding, but a tough exterior material and a decent fleece lining give it adequate protection as long as I don’t smash it into a rock, and unlike the usual semi-rigid lens pouches it packs down pretty small when not in use. The drawstring opening doesn’t quite close fully (the resulting hole is maybe 2cm in diameter) so it’s not weatherproof. Comes with a basic removable waist belt which passes through two loops on the back, which can be used for a couple of small carabiners instead.
