Re: CPS will change in near future…

I would like to post in my thread now in conclusion, since we are going around in circles
Mainly due to you repeat the very same on and on.
argumentatively and of course I also have to work to be able to afford with the nice things in life.
And that is why another time wasted by being a broken record? Logical.
1. if I would move, as has been suggested here, it would not change the fact that I still own Canon products and would have to continue to buy - with lenses currently no choice.
2. also burn, drive over etc. would not really bring me anything, unless I would publish it with publicity on YouTube😂
3. i'm thinking about selling my Canon gear. That can certainly be discussed controversially. However, it's my personal decision. Everyone can decide differently, of course.
4. the lack of alternatives with other manufacturers is not an argument for me, but actually shows how capable of suffering / willing to suffer the consumer has become. There is a post asking for the logic of how to think about selling ones equipment because of this move by Canon. How logical is it to walk through the world with open wallets and just nod off a lot of things?!
5. I will not suffer a loss on the sale because I bought cheap😉 It's also not like it will hit me financially that Canon now values me less as a private customer, changes my status and arbitrarily reduces points. It's the way they apparently think they can deal with customers at Canon who should actually get the preferred service.
6. the change from CPS membership to Canon Club Member is automatic. The points and the status (Platinum, Gold, Silver) were "adjusted" at least for me.
10% discount on repair or service. If the sensor cleaning costs 60€, then that is mathematically 6€- hey, insanity.
At my dealer, that goes, without shipping, without uncertain duration of processing, for half the price. I can even wait for it.
7. with CPS and Canon Club Membership Canon want to bind customers. For this, you provide your personal data and are transparent as a buyer. Especially since as a Club Member I can also collect points in the community. But what these points are good for (except for the status), what I can redeem them for, remains hidden to me so far.
I think I will first delete my products from the Canon world, terminate my membership and buy no more products for the time being.
OK. And?
That is consistent and also logical based on the description of my point of view.
We all know that what is logical is not always right.
In this sense, all the best to all of you.
