Hi everybody.
I got a newsletter where canon said that they will change my CPS account. In future they will charge for their service🤬.
They say that CPS members who are not professionals, or who do not need the professional service, can choose to be a member of an exclusive Canon Club🫣☹️
I think about to sell my gear.
What do you think?
You're actually thinking about selling your gear and leaving the Canon ecosystem simply because CPS may be changing their membership policies? IMO that's an incredibly silly and ridiculous reason, but to each his own, I guess.
+1
And since no other camera manufacturer offers any better service and the total gear change costs a lot of money, the OP would loose much more money by changing brands than paying some minor yearly fee and gaining benefits from it.
Where is any essential logic?
For those who are not able to read, or read but don’t understand. I am thinking about to sell my canon gear!
Maybe you have a crystal ball and it will tell you what I can get for my equipment and it will also tell you what I paid for it?
I wonder about the logic of such posts.
Someone calls himself a Canon Guy, uses old EF glass and lenses from Sigma and uses an old R6.
That someone like this person is not really affected by the move from Canon is logical, at least here.
It is amazing that logic is used to argue when Canon sanctions people who have invested in the brand for the fun of the hobby and their own financial possibilities, so to speak, also make the shareholders richer.
Now they apparently don't have enough return and therefore you have to reduce the costs. Of course, that is logical.
It's just too bad that the very people who generate the returns are also the ones who are hit again by such cost cuts. Left pocket, right pocket. Logical?
But those who don't have the financial means are apparently indifferent and argue, what should I do, what options do I have with other manufacturers?
That's logical?
For me, this is like a flock of sheep that briefly sit up and take notice, but then continue to graze.
If you get happy with it, no problem.
