Hi everybody.

I got a newsletter where canon said that they will change my CPS account. In future they will charge for their service🤬.

They say that CPS members who are not professionals, or who do not need the professional service, can choose to be a member of an exclusive Canon Club🫣☹️

I think about to sell my gear.

What do you think?

I certainly will not sell my Canon gear but I think it would be a bad move from Canon that will hurt them long-term.

Indeed I needed CPS once (dropped a lens) and the Canon service was fantastic. Also I used once a year the free cleaning and the free lens focus adjustment service for my 5DII. (The Canon service center was on my way to work.)

Also I hope that I don't need their service it's a relief to know it's there if needed. My good experience was one reason to stick with Canon also the first mirrorless offerings were not that convincing.

I didn't see any announcement of a change. But maybe I deleted it without having read it. Assuming you're in Germany could you post the exact text? Thanks!
