Will Canon allow EF lenses to work on future RF bodies?

I do. And that is why it is strange for me why you wrote it that way which implies something which is not true.

He obviously meant RF mount (and even wrote it in his reply to you). The moment EF lenses aren't supported anymore, neither would be Sigma nor Tamron, and the adapter alone doesn't make it an "open system". Like you I don't think the EF system will be locked out any time soon if ever, but making a system more "open" only thanks to old lenses and old systems doesn't seem the way to go to me. Eventually Canon will have to lift the ban, license the AF patent or something.

Without wanting to be picky, I am not reacting on what I suppose someone meant because it would only be uncertain guessing. I am reacting on what someone actually writes  which only is relevant. And the information that "Sigma, Tamron and others are locked out by Canon's closed system" simply is not true because anyone can use Sigma, Tamron and other EF mount lenses on R cameras. Nothing more, nothing less.

I simply do not like this implying or pretending that matters are worse than they actually are by selectively choosing or omitting some obvious facts.
