Will Canon allow EF lenses to work on future RF bodies?

What's even worse is that most of the scenarios being mooted aren't even about Canon in the first place: Olympus Four Thirds compatibility, Nikon dropping support for AF-D lenses, Sony hobbling A-mount lenses.  The big one that is about Canon is in regards something they made very clear from the get-go, that third party autofocus RF lenses aren't going to be allowed.  Which is very unfortunate, but has nothing to do with trust, since Canon's doing exactly what it said it would.
