What reader were you using?

Looking at the card's label, I'd suggest that you a) scrap the card (possible heat damage), and b) buy a different brand. Consider Delkin, SanDisk, Sony Tough and other mainstream cards.

AFAIK, Ritz "brands" gear; they don't manufacture it themselves. There's no guarantee that they consistently source from the same suppliers, or even the same quality parts from those suppliers.

Your card's Write spec is pretty low; I wouldn't consider it for video or heavy duty burst use. Also, keep in mind that "Maximum" claims don't mean much. For example (made up!) I can claim "2000 MB/s Maximum Write Speed", and deliver 100 MB/s and I've met the "spec". I've got similarly spec'd cards from several manufacturers, and none hit their Write spec, but 2 of them come reasonably close to their Read spec, and outperform another brand's Write spec by quite a bit.

At the very least, though, don't use that card again—or risk problems. B&H had some really good sales on Delkin and SanDisk CFexpress cards in the last several months; watch their site.

FWIW, I'm shooting with EOS R5's. The only times either locked up was when I used a specific brand of card. Without saying which brand, I'll reiterate my recommended brands above, which have performed flawlessly for over a year, including when shooting 8K video.
