I leave mine on ES for most things that don't need MS, mainly because I shoot a lot of bursts, and after three years my shutter count is only 15800. Now that I have an XT5 for those situations I'm leaving mine set to MS.

i had my x100v for a year and my shutter count was 0 when I sold it lmao. I mostly also shot on ES mode. no idea how this works really.
