There’s no sign from rumor or patent that Canon with replace the 15-85 in a crop format to answer your question. However, you may want to have a hard look at the R8 and it’s 24-50, then. FF though.

Adapting is an option too of course if you’re married to crop glass or crop shooting conditions.
