3mm on the wide end does not sound like a lot - but big difference in usefulness to these 2 lenses.

It is, if you don’t have an option for wider. Hopefully Canon fixes this sooner than later.

The 3mm argument isn’t a strong one, ask any 18-150 owner. I’ve owned a 10/10 copy of both the 15-45 and 18-150, the 18-150 is wayyyy more useful. I like the footprint of the 15-45 better. When I need wider? Mount the 11-22, except the RF-S doesn’t have one yet.
