Sorry for the lack of clarity. It just means that even though the set up may not have the IQ of bigger lenses, because it is so convenient it is easy to bring along. Thus in some ways a small camera and lens you actually bring with are better than a full frame with a lovely 24-70 f2 or some such sitting on the counter at home. Hope that clarifies. Of course, good on those who can (or want or need to) carry the best IQ gear!

Some of us like options

I’ve found a M6 II + 18-150 and 22 f/2 combo pairs well with an R3+28-70 f/2L, and so does a M50 II + 15-45 and 55-200. You bring each for the right occasion is all. The “big boy” does low light and “special” occasions or when desired. The Ms, or now R50/R10 + RF-S glass can do outside “fun”.

I’m gonna give the R50 + 18-45 and 55-210 a whirl, I think. Should be as fun as the M50 II combo was, assuming I get good copies of the glass.

as much as you shoot at FF 24 fov, wouldn't you rather get the RF 15-30?

No.

As others have noted on the forum, and I’ve noted from samples online, the RF15-30 gives no “pop”. It’s a “dull” lens. The RF16 pancake on the other hand does, but it’s unstabilized and no zoom capacity.

I’ll either hold out for an RF-S 11-22, or, just pop for a RF 15-35 f/2.8L. Depends on my mood.
