I have now found a Canadian store with 3 used cameras:

  1. T2 - 16 - 80mm lens. It has 1000 shutter count . Cost is $1500.00 CDN / ($1106.00 USD).
  2. T3 - 18-135mm lens. It has 2700 shutter count. Cost is $1750.00 CDN ($1291.00 USD)
  3. T3 - 16 - 80mm lens. Only 164 shutter count. Cost is $1995.00 CDN (1471.00 USD)

All 3 cameras are in very good shape cosmetically, and they come with battery and charger.

At this point I think I'm going to purchase the #3. It has a low shutter count and a good all round lens. I think this would satified my needs for quite some time as I find the whole process of camera shopping / research to be painful. It's time to pull the trigger.

You can't buy without a lens?

If you can't, I'd go for the cheaper one, a shutter count of 1000 is nothing. If these are local, try them out and pick the one with the better 16-80. Look for corner sharpness at 16mm.

I don't have any lenses and when I have priced them out separately they are pretty expensive.

i know that there are times when new firmware updates occur - I was wondering if the X-T2 might have some limitations there. I've had a few iPhones where eventually I couldn't update them anymore and had to buy a newer model.
