Mathematically you are righ. But as far as real pictures are concerned both values are so good that no real images difference will occur.

This might be an "issue" for specifications comparators not for photographers.

in fast vertically-moving objects like a beating wing tip. Also, was the "mechanical" measured? Assuming a 4ms rolling shutter because of max flash sync is not correct; it is at least that fast, and may be faster. What if it is 3ms? Then it is almost twice as fast as the R3.

I wish there was a commercially-available LED light bulb that was calibrated to 1000Hz duty cycle (on/off). Then we could compare images and settle on more exacting numbers, and get more accurate data. The R7 rolling shutter is 31.3ms according to the chart, but I have measured 29.6ms.
