Given the abundance of system settings, the large number of possible combinations they allow for and my own photographic requirements, I find that just 3 "C" modes on my R5 are not enough.

Any reason you can think of why, with all the advances in camera's functionalities, Canon still just provides the same numbers of "C" positions it provided back in, say, the 5D Mk II?

Surely it would be easy to increase that number, at least in cameras where mode selections don't use a physical dial, no?

What do you guys think about this?

While I haven't run out of C mode slots, I agree with your line of thinking. I would go a bit further: allow renaming the slots, I know that C3Tv is the RF100-500 and C1M for macro, but it would be nice to assign a name or pictogram, like a dragonfly for C3TV and spider for C1M
