A large demonstration in Vienne stopped the traffic so I went for a walk with my camera.
Thanks for this. It was an interesting photo for me, and I researched it via Google. It's a small town about 30 minutes by train south of Lyon. On the Rhone river. The area looks nice, at least on a sunny day.

Vienne is a nice town.Vienne is also the home of a 2 week music festival Jazz à Vienne which is at the end of June and begining of July.

On the other side of the Rhône there is the Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat. This thursday we are planning a walk from just outside Véranne which climes "tout là-haut" to Saint Sabin where we will buy something to eat at l'auberge Vert-Anes. We will return to the start and then drive to la ferme des blés d'or to buy du pain de Nono https://lepaindenono.fr/ . Life is hard.

With our apologies for the lack of any feedback from us this month ('life stuff' requiring our attention applies), here are some shots from Hartshill Country Park, Warwickshire, England.

Shot raw, processed - and occasionally fiddled with (sometimes seriously).

(S/w: DxO PhotoLab/ Nik Collection, Lr Classic, Photoshop, Topaz DeNoise AI/ Studio 2).

I spent a month travelling around Thailand with my wife. Not wanting to be too laden with camera equipment. I decided to take the R6 and the 600 f11, and the EF 16-35 f2.8 MKIII. Sort of wished I'd left the 16-35 behind as its quite a lump!

But I'm impressed with the 600 f11 and how good the R6 is at high ISO.

I`m living on an island and the main tunnel is being renovated during the weekends... So there a lot of traffic jams in those weekends and if not necessary I will stay on the island. So what to do during the weekend ? Well just 25 kilometers from my house I found this odd looking building. It seems that it is a pre WW2 bunker. During the cold war, in the fifties, they build a tower on top of it so they could search for planes...

Visited a place just west of Houston known as the Hemi Hideout. The owner is a wealthy retiree who had a love for muscle cars from the 50's-90's so he built a large man-cave for his collection. That led him to also collect neon signs and other signage from the last century.

We had a week's break in Nelson (top of the South Island, often the sunniest place in NZ), and while Gabrielle wreaked havoc on the North Island, we rather guiltily enjoyed ourselves. I took my brand new 14-35 f4 and much loved 100-500...

Tahunanui - and the whole of Tasman Bay - gets a reliable afternoon onshore sea breeze, perfect for kite surfers. At weekends there can be a dozen or more whizzing around.

He was going fast enough to make tracking difficult at 500mm, and I didn't think to adjust the lens stabilisation setting until too late, but the R6 nailed focus on just about every shot.

We were staying with a friend whose house commands amazing views...
