The use of post processing software with the ability to correct for vignetting would seem to be required with this recent update.

Unfortunately, the desired falloff correction apparently can't be done to the out of camera jpgs. Many possible reasons. Perhaps the lens corrections are not compatible/available for this camera/lens combination within the camera/lens system itself. Perhaps Canon doesn't want to utilize resources to develop or process lens corrections for non-Canon lenses. Perhaps Viltrox hasn't developed an acceptable way to communicate lens correction data to Canon mirrorless cameras.

Maybe such compatibility issues and/or the practice of falsely identifying yourself as a Canon lens are a window into why Viltrox needed to stop selling the lens.
