Fuji xf 16-80

In my daily life it's a tag sharp lens even at f4. It's almost glued to my xt3. I'm still used to take square pics because I have worked with 6x6 cm negatives for many years. In fact I only use the square part of my sensor. The centre of this lens is tag sharp and I hardly suffer from less sharper corners. I hope one day there will be sensors with a 24x24 mm construction. It surprises me that even Hasselblad doesn't have a 6x6 cm senor in their camera range. And yes, I know I live in the year 2023 but cameras of the 80's are still in my memory.
Considering that a 60x60mm sensor camera would combine a challenging manufacturing process with a niche product status, you'd probably only be able to afford it if you happened to be a millionaire
But I do agree about the 16-80 - never really understood the backlash, it's a perfectly solid kit option. The only reason I personally "graduated" to the 16-55 is because the added stop of light and better corner sharpness at the wide end were more meaningful to me than the added reach and the smaller package.
