IS modes Canon RF 100 - 500 for BIF
I just ordered the Canon RF 100 - 500 lens (should get it tomorrow). I searched this forum but couldn't find the thread that talks about which IS mode on the lens for BIF and other panning/tracking of moving subjects. I have read the instructions online from Canon but it seems that the practical answer may differ from that if I recall. So, for BIF and other panning of moving subjects, should I choose IS mode 2 or IS mode 3? I will be using this lens with my R5 and probably with higher shutter speeds (1/1000th sec or if the light cooperates 1/2500th sec). Or, at those higher shutter speeds should I simply turn off the IS? I should mention that I will be hand holding the lens. I will be in Costa Rica early in March and won't be able to properly test the lens prior on such subjects due to time constraints. Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences with the IS modes of this lens in combination with the R5.
