R7 vs 7D2/5D4 Auto ISO with Flash

I noticed an important difference between how the R7 and 7D2/5D4 work regarding using auto ISO with flash. On the 7D2 and 5D4 if I turned the flash on with ISO set to auto it would change the ISO to 400 which was fine for a lot of flash shots. Being quite used to this behavior I also did this with the R7 and had a few shots end up at much higher ISO settings, like 3200 and 6400. I finally figured out what was going on. The R7 does not default the ISO to 400 when the flash is turned on with ISO set to Auto. Very important thing to remember if used to having it auto set to 400.
I looked online and in the manual and don't see any mention of how the ISO is handled when a flash is turned on when set to Auto ISO. I also didn't see any camera settings to change this behavior. I gather this is normal operation...just have to remember to manually set ISO when turning the flash on and off.
