Can wired remotes start/stop video recordings or only take photos?

I've got an R6 Mk II with the wireless BR-E1 remote.  It works great, and by flipping the switch on the side I can tell it to either take photos or start-stop video recording.

However, I also have a Moza Aircross 3 and a Moza Slypod Pro and I cannot get either of them to start stop video with the wired cable.  The Aircross 3 will take photos via the cable, but when I'm in video mode on the R6 it just flashes the screen - the same way the BR-E1 does if I forget to flip the switch to video.  On the Slypod it won't even take photos, all it does is take an exposure as though the shutter button on the camera were held halfway down.

So, is this just a Moza thing and none of the wired remote options work correctly, or is it something inherent to the R6 with wired remotes?
