Thanks! So I will have to make do as it works. I use this lens 3-4 times a year, that is manageable!

It always was an unstabillised lens. It's just that it's best used unstabillised on Canon cameras.

Mind you, having bought my 12-24mm for use on full-frame, I've never been the slightest bit tempted to use it on APS-C as it dwarfs my equally fast, stabilised 11-22mm.

I had an EF-S 10-22 with my old 20D. I sold the lens 14 years ago when I switched to full frame (5D2, 5D3, 5D4), and I bought the 12-24 instead. It was then the only ultra wide angle zoom available. Far from perfect, but still usable if you know its limitations (as you know corners are awful).

I am back to APS-C now, and the 12-24 might be handy sometimes. I have the 24/2.8 STM pancake, very light and reasonably good, a perfect body/lens landscape combo with the R7 when hiking. So I will use the 12-24 only at the sorter end, where IS is not really necessary.

Just for the record, I have also found the same issue with the Canon EF-S 24/2.8 STM (pancake). The movement is less amplified, you need to view at 100% to see it, so I didn't notice until I reviewed the photos on a computer. I have a couple hundred of spoiled photographs. Nothing important, but I thought I should mention, it could be useful to others.

Edit: from ISO 3200 the noise hides the blur on this lens.
