Lol, I had an EOS R for 2 years. So I'm speaking from experience when I say IS is no substitute for IBIS, which is a concern of OP.

I believe the reviewer, Dustin abbot has stated he really doesn't see much of a difference of using both Camera and Lens stabilization or just only one or the other. Some have stated that for certain case usages, Lens stabilization is better than in camera. Both my ILC cameras have IBIS. But I have never tested if for myself.
