Re: Canon EOS R - best focal length for landscapes?

I use anything from an 8mm fisheye (rarely) to the RF800mm f11 (equally rarely) for landscapes. The vast majority are in the 16-400mm range, and if I'm wanting a lightweight package to cover that all, then the RF trio of 16mm, the same 24-105 as you have, and the 100-400 covers it without breaking either back or bank. I've also got the L 24-105, which is better but a fair bit heavier. My favourite landscape lenses for IQ are the TS-E 24mm L II and the EF 35mm f1.4 L II, but they're heavy and expensive, and much less versatile.
Overall, a 24-105 is by far the most versatile landscape lens, and yours is pretty decent at f8 or f11, except in the corners at 24mm. How much that matters is up to you, but if it does, the L lens is in my mind the obvious replacement.
But by the sounds of it, a reasonable tripod would be your best investment to allow you to get the most from your existing lens.
