It is mostly color blotching because it is showing on is400, but not on is100. Aliasing does not behave like this.

Also, this is a pretty damning comparison. Pocket "consumer" grade Sigma cameras should not be beating Hassels and Leicas like that... But, because it was 1:1:1 and 1:4:4: foveon, images are very impressive.
Also, Both hassel and Leicas suck when it comes to aliasing. This is clearly not the case with foveon sensors. This is why I think that Sigma needs to address digital back market for medium format cameras too.

Yes. They could probably get $30,000 each for full-size digital backs with 100P per layer . . . but at what cost to develop and manufacture? How many photographers would buy them? How fast would they operate?

If regular APSC sized sensors can do this to hassels, imagine what can proper size sensors can do to it.
