Monochrome Images for the Month of February, 2023

February is here and time to show your monochrome images for this month. Remember that all Sigma Cameras and lenses are welcome and an occasional image made with other cameras pulled from your archive. Try to limit you post to 3 images and to give your post a title so that comments will be properly directed.

Lets shoot some monochrome images and have some old school fun. ;)
 
An old cottonwood tree in fall color converted to infrared using a preset in Lightroom.

Thanks Peter: It was a beautiful day at a local park and I was able to capture some part of it on camera. ;)

Image taken at Grand Canyon in 2018. camera was SD Quattro and lens was the 18-35 mm Art lens. Converted to monochrome in Camera Raw.

I took this image on our front porch in 2009 with the SD14 and th 20mm DG lens. We are expecting a snow like this tomorrow (I hope the weatherman is wrong .. again) ;)

It's almost inexplicable how the sdQ takes me back to my days printing B&W negs in a darkroom. These Foveon cameras really are tailored for the seen image.

Title: "Life in stone."
Nice light, attracting attention to the life in the stone .. beautiful prey for the photographer :-)
