How important is size to you? And small light (and excellent) lenses? F/1.4 lenses? UWA zoom?

M50 II + EF-M 22mm f/2 to the right (Very nice lens for street and walk around.)

I don't find these rumors far fetched considering Canon just made an EF-M 55-200 "killer". I do consider it a killer too btw considering it's improved optical performance, even though it gave up 1/3 stop.

An EF-S 55-250mm STM killer it is not.

The almost 1 stop and 40mm at the long end in the crop world is huge.

Absolutely. It’s also what? Half the size? And half the weight (adapter mind you).

M and now RF-S is all about footprint. Glad to see Canon is matching the spirit of the M, albeit compromises like 3mm on the wide end of the kit and the 1/3 stop on the telephoto. Those aren’t bad trades to keep the M form factor but in RF-S if you’re keeping it real. We all knew they couldn’t match the M, but man they got close. Close enough I’d say it doesn’t count. The R50 is the M50 mark III.
