Not sure I'd agree with this. Many of the problems with these images are the result of too low a shutter speed with moving subjects or poor positioning of the focal plane.

In shots where good technique has been used, IQ in terms of sharpness actually looks pretty decent - e.g. 31, 36, 63, 80, 111. OOF areas and contrast aren't great, but I've seen much worse.

I don’t share folks displeasure here. I think the RF 24-50 is a fine lens. DPRs samples are good, too. Bravo to both DPR and Canon here.

Now I’ll say sure, it can’t hold a candle to say my Goliath 28-70, but then again crop can’t hold a candle to the 24-50… And DPRs samples actually have been pretty kicker. Gotta give Richard props, was actually thinking to myself how their technique has improved over the years.
