Newbie Focusing Advice
1

Newbie GR3 user seeking advice.

I am finally going to join the ranks of a Ricoh GR3 shooter. I have been at my company for 10 years and as a reward they will buy you a gift of your choice up to a certain price limit. Guess what (just) fits into the price limit? It will be here next week and am already planning how best to learn it and shots I want. (I normally shoot Nikon full frame). I have trawled the forums and online but cannot find the answer.

The advice I am after is something that popped into my brain about snap focus. For instance; I am on one side of the street, on the other side of the street is a shop front with a big poster in it. I want to get a picture of someone walking in front of the shop/poster. On my Nikon I would probably set it to F8, auto focus on the edge of the pavement, switch to manual focus, select continuous shooting as I like to take a few shots so I can pick the best one.

My question is if I was using snap focus on the GR3 can I use the continuous drive mode with it? so I press and hold the shutter button with a full press snap to get 5 or so shots. Or would I be better off manually focusing and using continuous with that focusing mode.
