No aggression from me, I always try to help, but saying things like “I realise this concept is not very common in the Canon world” is perhaps disrespectful, if you just pause to think about it.

If you read the thread again, you will see, that not a single person was actually able to answer the question (with solid facts) or show any examples on how the requested feature performs on the latest R cameras. All he got as replay was speculation ("maybe not so good on the R5 but certainly perfect on the R6 II), unverified personal claims ("of course it works"), examples on how it actually doesn't work reliably on other relevant Canon cameras (R5) and a teaching on how to do it differently and why this method is not relevant anyway. In my eyes the disrespectfulness is coming "from the other side" and his observation is spot on.

There are enough people in here with an R7, R10 or R6 II. Can't anyone perform a solid test? This involves the willingness to understanding how the method works first (see video examples in this thread) and a basic understanding on how well it works on the other plattforms. Then the only thing that has to be done is to record a short (>1 min) unspliced sequence of "any object tracking" (and not with slowmo movements, but typical "recompose action") and we are done here. I would be really interested as well.
