Hi everyone,

I am an R5 user. I shoot mostly landscape.

Then why do you want to use the electronic shutter? Using the electronic shutter drops your bit depth from 14 bit to 12 bit...

... and EFCS is just as shock-free as full-electronic. EFCS only causes shutter shock at the end of exposure, and only challenges stability with very fast bursts, where the shock at the end of the previous exposure may still have some resonance at the beginning of the current one.

Which is why in macro photography I was using the EFCS of the Canon DSLR in liveview already for more than 10 years as a better replacement of the mirror lock up.
