Wrong, as usual. But, if you are simply determined to ignore the experiences of people who actually have and use cameras that you don't own, go ahead.

Any additional substantial comment on what has been shown in the review? Or is it simply "wrong"?

If you're talking about the dpreview video review you linked to, you might want to pay better attention to what you're citing in the future. The bit you reference concerns video AF. As for how the camera was set up, he doesn't tell us. So, of course, you can extrapolate from an irrelevant test (of video AF) to your predetermined conclusions. I mean, it's not as if anyone on this thread actually took the time and trouble to set up their camera to do what the OP was asking about, and then reported their findings, is it?

Funny, if you would have actually read my post I exactly predicted that the usual crowd would say that this is for video only and that it works perfect for stills.

In reality video AF is not really different from stills AF for the technique discussed.

They mention that you constantly have to babysit the camera when in tracking mode (of non-detectable subjects) and even showcase the behavior right after that (7 minute mark). But of course, if you show someething like this to the usual brand defenders in here, they will tell you that it those people did not know how to properly setup their cameras, they were using wrong settings and for sure had a defective model. And of course this was in video mode and in stills the camera behaves perfect.
