Many International forum members has said it in stock in their country and one I know in Australia got his three weeks ago. I assume Canon shipped by air from Japan and the rest are coming by sea which takes maybe two weeks to reach Canon USA before being shipped to dealers.
While I know there can be delays in shipping especially with some of the weather we have had here I’m surprised that it was only the day before the original planned distribution day that B&H acknowledged they were not receiving product and it would be delayed. It’s now been just over a week with no notification of by when they would begin. If it’s at sea on a ship they would have known several weeks ago they would not make good on their original commitment.
If Canon is having a problem and not able to supply them then work out a new schedule. Because this is happening on items in the retail chain there appears to be zero urgency to understand by when it would be resolved. I can tell you from personal experience as a semiconductor supplier into the product manufacturing side of Canon’s businesses planners would be tasked with figuring it out at a higher priority and figure out the new date. If the delay is due to manufacturing issue then show some transparency and say production has suffered an unexpected problem that prevents creating a known schedule. As a supplier to Canon you would probably be having daily conference calls to status each other. I’m so glad I retired from this business.
