Does SD card brand matter on the X-T5? Sony vs SanDisk vs Lexar?

I own the Fuji X Secrets book by Rocky Nook (which is helpful), and for the X-T3 and higher models with superfast UHS-II slots, he recommends the Sony SF-G SDXC II cards with read/write speeds of 300/299 MB/s. They're quite pricey at £109, and wondering if Sony SDs are really worth the premium.
- SanDisk ones seem to be similarly priced at £95
- Lexar ones seem a bit less expensive at £67
Any noticeable difference between these brands?
I'm not shooting movies on my X-T5, just pics, and normally not in burst mode. So not even sure what speed I actually need in practice? Do I really need 300 MB/s?
One of my resolutions this year was to learn photography, but my new hobby's getting rather expensive rather fast!📷 So just wondering where I can save a bit on parts & accessories! However, if Sony is really the way to go, so be it. Thanks.

If you Google the name of your camera and “sd card performance” you’ll find people who have tested a variety of cards with your camera.
I’ve used Prograde cards which appear as fast as the others (or close enough to make no practical difference).
