Re: ZS100 - is it worth considering as a viable alternative IQ wise to an RX100

I am happy with my ZS100. I did find that for my use, even more drastic adjustments from default were in order. I use standard for base, +5 (yes) for sharpening, -3 on noise reduction, and believe  I left saturation and contrast at default. Don't have the time right now to get it out and check, but will  try to remember next week.  Anyway, don't be afraid to experiment with picture controls. I found the ZS100 took more variation from default than any other camera I own. I typically never bump sharpening in controls, but maxed the ZS100 out.  And then typically add some USM with amount depending on final use and size of image.

Just happened to know where this was. It is from ZS100 at full zoom plus 2x digital zoom for 702mm in FF equivalent and then cropped for this so equivalent FF mm is ???.  I like to push the limits of stuff for fun.
