No screen? Most phones are literally all screen.

No settings? There are endless settings: effects, aspect ratios, you name it.

Shutter button? It’s a bit of the screen. OK, some have a shutter button or fudge a volume button to work it, but it’s really not the same, especially when they’ve made the device wafer thin and pressing the button makes it start to twist pin your hand.

Viewfinder? Never seen a phone with one of those.

”Like an old film camera”? A phone is more like my TV than it is a film camera.

Large sensor? Nope.

Just to be clear: what I’d like is the exact opposite of a phone 🙂 In a box in my office I have an Olympus Trip, a Ricoh 35S and a Ricoh KR-10 and KR-5, and the only reason they’re in a box is that they use film. Apart from that, I find them a joy to use in precisely the same ways that I find a using a phone to do the same an utterly miserable experience.

I fully realise I’m becoming more of a Luddite the older I get 😉
