Yes, great camera, but people paying between $1750-2200 US dollars for one in the used market makes me wonder if this could make Fuji put the brakes on the possible release of a new model.

Why bother with version VI if the current one is hotter than ever?

I guess we could blame Tiktokers for making Fuji the new Leica.

Other Fuji cameras have gone to crazy prices, even the X-E series are significantly higher than they were 18 months ago. I've been looking at prices for months now thinking of picking one up but shaking my head at the prices. I just checked and I bought one for 409 bucks that was like new and low shutter count. They are routinely selling for 6-700 on eBay now.

The 27mm 2.8 used to be cheap also and it's going for ~300, I got mine NEW for like 179 or something.

The X100V has heled a lot the Fuji branding among people who are not serious enthusiasts.

And as I said before, a friend of mine with absolutely ZERO knowledge of photography, sensor sizes, specs, brands, etc, bought herself a new silver XE4 with the 27mm for $1500 just because she thought it looks awesome.
