I assume the zs100 has come a long way. The Sony might be better but for most folks it`s much more than they need and cost more than they need to spend.

Nice shot,  I loved my RX100i, but it bit the dust.  Hopefully, I'll enjoy the zs100 as much.

As for how good is good enough?  I have 1000's of images from all over Europe shot with small digital cameras since 2004 that I find totally acceptable.  Here's one from that era, just as an example.  Canal in Amsterdam.
