Photos ap in OS 13.1

As of yesterday, when I am in the Photos ap and I go to "Full Screen" the top menu bar, the one with the apple in the extreme left and the clock in the extreme right still is showing. It never use to do that and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. Before yesterday, when I went to full screen, the entire photo was in the screen and no menu bar showed. Any idea what command would get rid of this? I'm running a 24 inch iMac with the M1 chip and OS 13.1.
