That's what the Amazon policy is there for, though using a camera for a month seems like stretching things. The policy is clear and public. So long as you play by the rules I see no problem.

Part of the reason for the policy is people like you - it gives people the confidence to buy, knowing they have recourse if an product is not satisfactory. Since most of us don't have access to a local camera store it's about the only way we can feel confident of a purchase.

Now the guy who buys a camera intending to use it for a job or vacation, then return it -- that's a different matter. But a customer who honestly plans to buy but wants a chance to check the gear seems reasonable to me.
