I have done a fair amount of research on the camera and viewed many images.  Some looked quite acceptable, some not so acceptable to me.

Reviews do concern me as often they commented on the len's quality, specially here at dpreview.

I find your images quite acceptable, and just love the clouds image.   I normally just set the camera up to suggested defaults and minimally PP in Apple's Photo app, really don't think I want to do more.

As you stated, the price for the camera these days is downright cheap, $400, for a 1" sensor camera.  The Sony has a better lens, far better video (which I don't use) and faster and more accurate focusing, but the ZS100 is adequate in those aspects, IMHO.

So I've been seriously considering just getting one from Amazon at $399 and give it a try for a couple of weeks, hoping I find it acceptable.  Worst case, I return it.
