ZITAY CFexpress Type B Card to NVME M.2 2230 SSD Adapter, review

The description - at least on Amazon - says it's compatible with the Nikon Z9, and the card label says "4K 120P" and "8K RAW". I think not.

Installed the recommended Kioxia BG5 1TB 2230 M.2 NVMe card, put it in the Z9 and formatted it.

Worked fine for low-data rate things like 1080p or intermittent still shots. But for 4k 120fps, or continuous high still image bursts, the camera would lock up requiring a battery pull to correct. With a normal card, the camera will lock until the buffer clears, and then continue - I tried this with a relatively slow XQD card.

The saying is "the poor man pays twice". Turns out so does the cheap man - if I'd stuck to a recommended card I would not have several hundred dollars of useless material sitting in a drawer. Given what I know, I can't even, in good conscience, resell it.

FYI . At least on the Z9, stay away.
