Supply and demand which Fujifilm is likely controlling to their benefit. Seems like many manufacturers (not just in the electronics space) noticed that the early pandemic supply chain induced shortages translated to better margins. Is Fujifilm really unable to meet demand on this camera?

Hoe is it to their benefit if they aren’t selling them?

The used prices on the even older X100F and S models are just as absurd. I see those selling for more than I paid new 5+ years ago.

This does not benefit Fuji.  Well maybe it’s collective ego.

As soon as the already overdue next version is announced the prices on the X100V will plummet. Then as soon as the next version starts shipping the used market will get flooded with trade-ins and prices will drop even more.

Maybe not this time.  I am sure Fuji will charge more for the next one.  That is where this mess will benefit Fuji.
