In program, aperture priortiy and shutter priority - I've got it set up so the rear dial acts as the esposure compensation. Great, it works just like my old X-T2 and I don't need to think about it.

However, if I am in Manual Mode to keep a fixed aperture and shutter speed for artistic reasons, I can use Auto-ISO to maintain the right exposure.
In this situation, exposure compensation will require me to press a button to toggle the command dial used for shutter speed to exposure compensation and back.

I wish it could be separated, but for now, it is not.
