My thoughts on the R7 after owning for awhile now
14

Now that I have owned my R7 for I guess about 5 months now. I still give it a thumbs up for the price range it sits  in. After watching setup videos etc. I started struggling and started falling out of love very quickly. Trying to use it like my previous DSLRs single point focus, back button focus etc.etc.  missing easy bird in flight shots because it wanted to focus on everything but the bird. Then I remembered the first day I used it out of the box, and how much I loved it,  reset it and only changed a few settings and have been thrilled with it since.I now shoot BIF with either large zone or all points active and rarely get a miss waiting on the camera to figure out what I am wanting to capture. Assigned a button to quickly switch to single point for sitters. I love even in horrible conditions I can leave my extender mounted and still get decent shots, conditions I would never dream of even mounting the extender on my 80 or 90D. Of course I only shoot for my enjoyment and not for money or magazine covers but in my humble opinion at the price point it sits at you cant go wrong grabbing one.
