Hi all, I have a question for those of you who have switched from a DSLR to an R6/R6 MkII, an R7, an R10, etc.

About the only issue I have with the design of those cameras is the missing LCD screen on the right side of the top deck. I am so used to checking important settings by just glancing at the LCD on my Canon DSLRs.

My question is how long did it take for you R owners to get the muscle memory of hitting the Q button and looking at the back screen or looking through the eyepiece to check your camera's status instead? And is it, in general, an annoyance to not have that little LCD screen on the top deck any more? I'm someone who usually has the back screen closed on my 6D MkII, so it's convenient to be able to just give the shutter button a half-press and glance down at my camera to check the battery level, drive, ISO, etc.

Canon's good DSLR design has spoiled me. First-world problem, I know.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts on this!

I was used to the top LCD for more than 15 years but did not miss it on my R6 for even one minute. All info are on the back LCD or in the VF. Zero need for a third place for the same info.
