There's so much more to it...probably best to check out the manual!

Enjoy!

Downloaded already, thanks! I'm seriously waiting for the XH2 and XT5 firmware to see if I'll pull the trigger (also waiting on the XS20).

Nice...shouldn't be too long. What kind of shooting do you do...people or animals?

Also as you know, the XS20 will be a cut down version with PASM so quite different from XT5.

Speaking of the tracking, how's tracking on your XH2s and XT4 vs something like your M6II?

From memory the M50 was average so the M6ii was much better. XT4 face/eye tracking is average to say the least and the XH2s is way better (much better than M6ii) in this regards and adds other subject detection which is also quite good. It can only get better with future firmware.

I shoot with back button focus on the Canon, I leave the AF box on the center, use the AF On button to initiate tracking, just "grab" the target and let the AF do it's thing.

I haven't needed to use back button focus...if you set it to wide tracking, your focus box can be anywhere and you just half press the shutter button to track it (you can't do this with video atm unfortunately)..

You can set it to easily change from single point, zone or wide tracking with just turning the rear dial. Your focus box can be basically any size...

I also do shoot in Servo or AF-C so I realize that's where Fuji isn't so good at the moment.

Based on all reviews I've seen so far and including the XH2S 3.0, I don't expect Fuji to catch up in a generation, but I'd like something a little closer to what I'm currently used to. While the AF was certainly solid on the M50, it is nowhere near as easy to use as on the R6.

AF-C on XH2s is great and it's also excellent with the XT4 (just you turn off face detection on XT4).

The thing with reviews as it's done by people who don't normally use Fujifilm as their main system. Also I can only vouch for the photography side, most complaints are about video where AF seems quirky.

I think it's more a matter of adapting to doing things the Fuji way vs the Canon as the two brands are quite different. Some of the older Fuji lenses also have an impact on tracking but they peform much better on newer bodies.

This is a new generation sensor and it will take a few firmware tweaks to reach it's full potential. As you can see the XH2s is already on 3.0...this camera was out first and is the flagship so others (XH2 followed by XT5) should get updated next.
