If you end up keeping the M100 look into getting a front grip. I use this one, Custom Grip for Canon EOS M100 and M200 Cameras - Multiple Colors, it made a world of a difference. That plus a wrist strap is a must. I have average hands for a guy and don't have issues.

I bought a set of 2 Sony RX 100 knock-off grips from the local bay for 12 bucks and cut away a small fraction with sharp sissors. Works for me...
